About the role
As a key member of the People & Performance team, the purpose of the Quality & Training Officer is to support the business with the delivery of our Quality Management System (QMS) and Training Framework, to ensure that Coffey Testing complies with relevant legislation and standards and build capability to ensure our workforce is skilled and equipped to deliver on the needs of the business.
The role will report to and work closely with Quality & Training Manager to develop, review, deliver and continuously improve quality management and training to embed a positive quality and learning culture across the organisation.
This role would suit an experienced technician who has a passion for quality and training.
About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
- 5+ years’ experience working in the laboratory and field testing in soils, aggregates and concrete to relevant standards;
- Thorough understanding of NATA ISO/IEC 17025 requirements;
- Ability to translate technical information into easy-to-understand step-by-step instruction.
- High level organisational skills with the ability to problem solve, seek solutions, manage multiple priorities, and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Good presentation and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrates an unwavering commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety.
- Proactive ‘can do’ attitude and solutions focused.
- Enthusiastic and performance driven team player.
- High level of integrity, maturity, and initiative, and the proven ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point; including the capacity to learn new systems.
- Willing and able to travel across Australia to different laboratory locations as required.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable) or willingness to undertake.
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques preferred.
- Radiation Licence preferred.
- A valid Australian driver’s license.
